PowerRating -- After market close on Tuesday, Palm Inc. (NASDAQ:PALM) reported a second quarter loss of $9.6 million, or $0.09 a share, down from the profit of $12.8 million, or $0.12 a share, posted in the year-ago period. The company also posted revenue of $349.6 million, a decrease of 11% from the $329.9 million posted in the previous year. Analysts had expected the company to post a loss of $0.08 on revenue of $350.3 million. Palm expects third-quarter revenue to be in the range of $310 million to $320 million.
