DivX offers a digital media format used by consumers all over the world to create, share and play high-quality digital video across a range of devices and platforms. DivX Certification of Broadcom s BCM7403 will enable set-top box manufacturers to offer their consumers the ability to easily playback DivX videos from the PC or the Internet directly on their televisions through these set-top devices.
Broadcom s BCM7403 is a high-definition solution offering integrated support for digital media formats such as the DivX media format. Broadcom is focusing on enabling its customers to add DivX support to consumer electronics devices, including set-top boxes and high-definition devices. These product categories will expand the current line-up of DivX Certified device categories, which includes DVD players, portable devices, digital still cameras, and more, comprising over 100 million certified devices shipped by DivX partners worldwide.
