BRIEF: Three net USATF regional titles

Jul 21, 2008 (The Pantagraph - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- CILL | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Central Illinois Track's Brian King, Austin Williams and Tim Glover won titles July 12-13 in the USATF Regional meet at North Chicago. The top three finishers in each event advanced to the national meet in Omaha, Neb.

King was first in the 800- and 1,500-meter runs in the midget division. Williams won the 3,000-meter run and was second in the 800 in the midget division. Glover took first in the young men's javelin and broke the meet record. Glover has broken records this summer at the state and regional AAU meets and the state and regional USATF meets.

Kellie Eckmann placed sixth in the young women's pole vault.
