- NDSU Cinema Series The North Dakota State University Art Cinema Series will present "Caravaggio" at 7 p.m. Oct. 6 in the Fargo Theatre. During the late Italian Renaissance, Michelangelo de Caravaggio emerged from Rome's countercultural back-alley life to paint brilliant religious images for the Catholic Church, using as models street thugs, prisoners, prostitutes, neglected children and his own image. - Nordic Days: East Grand Forks Campbell Library will host Nordic Days during regular hours Oct. 27-31. A Nordic Festival will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 30, at which visitors can enjoy and learn about Nordic culture though music, food, an art exhibit, artist and author residencies and family activities. This activity is supported by Friends of the Campbell Library and made possible by a grant provided by Northwest Regional Arts Council through funding from the Minnesota State Arts Board and the Minnesota Legislature.
