This device, the XS-300(TM), is the first of its kind, and is based on breakthrough image capture and simulation technology combined with innovative proprietary software. The XS-300(TM) platform photographs a patient's body before her breast procedure, captures linear and volumetric measurements, and creates an exact three dimensional replica of her body on screen. Dr. Laverson examines this model with the patient during consultation, and performs breast augmentation, breast lift, breast reduction, or post-mastectomy breast reconstruction on the 3D model to visualize the expected result in advance of an actual surgical procedure. The photo-realistic result can be viewed from all angles, and implant size adjusted to most closely meet the patient's needs. This allows women for the first time to select implant size, shape, and position based on the expected outcome on their own body. Until now, patients have depended primarily on the surgeon's judgment and recommendations alone, supported by his or her reputation, results on photographs of past patients, and their own appearance with various implant sizes placed in their bra.

Dr. Laverson believes XS-300(TM) imaging and predictive surgical simulation will enhance the consultation experience for women by allowing them to proceed with surgery feeling more confident about their choices. Many patients express significant anxiety about implant size before breast augmentation, and are fearful of still being too small after the procedure, or ending up too large and obvious.
