Following purchase of L'Avion by British Airways earlier this year, the integration of L'Avion into OpenSkies is on schedule to be completed in the first quarter of 2009. The joint company will be called OpenSkies and will be an independent brand which will be supported and endorsed by British Airways.
Benefits from the integration include all L'Avion passengers being able to earn British Airways Executive Club miles from 2 December 2008. When travelling on L'Avion or OpenSkies PREM+, customers will be awarded 125% of the actual flown mileage.
From 2 December 2008 a new codeshare agreement between OpenSkies and L'Avion will offer an expanded schedule of flights between New York and Paris. Up to three daily services will be operated by the airlines between Paris Orly and New York JFK or Newark.
