The release of the JDBC drivers includes features and developer productivity capabilities with support for the JDBC 4.0 specification, application failover and database feature support.
DataDirect Technologies' data connectivity components provide standards-based data access to all major databases including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, DB2, Sybase, Informix and MySQL. Software architects at independent software vendors (ISVs) and in corporate IT departments use the DataDirect Connect for JDBC drivers.
DataDirect Connect for JDBC version 4.0 is now JDBC 4.0 compliant and also supports the optional JDBC 4.0 features including support for the SQLXML data type and the enterprise runtime features of JDBC 4.0 including extended diagnostics and caching enhancements.
