It sold 86,909 LCD TVs at home and 205,347 ones abroad, soaring 42% and 712% year on year, respectively. Its cathode ray tube (CRT) TV sales dropped 23.5% to 925,093 ones, including 573,917 ones sold domestically, leaping 21.9%. Sales of DVD players decreased 24.3% to 1.736 million ones.
It sold 1.11 million mobile phones, up 3.66% yearly, including 240,199 ones sold at home, hiking 78.09%.
TCL sold 43,003 air-conditioners last month, 29.63% less than a year earlier. Its refrigerator sales fell 7.2% to 45,150 ones. Sales of washing machine grew 20.95% to 35,068 ones.
Moreover, in January-August, TCL's LCD TV shipment reached 2.231 million ones, contributing 23.5% to its global TV shipment, up from 6.6% a year ago. Its mobile phone sales hiked 47.89% to 9.0557 million ones, among which 1.036 million ones were sold at home, mounting 56.44%. And sales of washing machines surged 21.02% to 271,339 ones.
