Through the Hitachi Data Systems' ISV programme, Hitec's DataStore software has been certified for use with the Hitachi Content Archive Platform. Customers can now easily deploy Hitec's electronic document management software on the Hitachi archiving platform to create a secure digital archive, meet compliance requirements, and provide rapid access to that content whenever it is needed.
"Hitec has a large customer base in the financial services sector, an industry particularly challenged with regulatory and governance requirements. The need to store information for long periods of time, combined with disaster recovery requirements and the need to retrieve information quickly for high level customer service, means that our customers make tough demands from their document management systems and the supporting storage. Our customers are going to be really excited with this combined proposition, as it meets all of their needs head-on," said Jeremy Crame, Managing Director, Hitec.
"It is a great pleasure to welcome Hitec as an active partner in our ISV Program," said Lynn Collier, Solution Director, Hitachi Data Systems EMEA. "We're delighted to be working in partnership with Hitec, as together we can offer businesses in the UK financial market a complete solution that's easy to deploy and will scale with their growing data volumes. It will make the long-term, secure storage of active and archived information much easier, providing an answer to both their data management and compliance needs."
Hitachi Data Systems operates an ISV Partner Program whereby software solution providers are able to validate their software offerings with the Hitachi Content Archive Platform to provide a certified end-to-end solution for a customer's archiving needs. Unlike other solutions which have a proprietary interface and require a third-party connector, the Hitachi Content Archive Platform integrates support for open standards platforms standard protocols including WebDAV, HTTP, NFS, and CIFS, which makes integration for partners such as Hitec simple, contributes to lower upfront costs, and also eases ongoing support burdens.
