TradingMarkets 7 Stocks You Need to Know for Friday

Here are 7 stocks for traders for Friday from TradingMarkets.com:

  • The end of year rally in stocks was led in many ways by technology shares such as Google (GOOG | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) and Yahoo! (YHOO | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating), both of which were up by more than 2% late on Wednesday before pulling back.

  • An analyst for Friedman, Billings, Ramsey and Company suggests that a less expensive version of the iPhone was likely from Apple (AAPL | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) in 2009. Shares of the stock are increasingly overbought below the 200-day moving average.

  • Among the very few Dow stocks ending 2008 higher were Wal-Mart (WMT | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) and McDonald's (MCD | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating).

  • Biotechnology was one of the top performing sectors in 2008. And two of the best performing stocks in that sector have been Amgen (AMGN | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) and Celgene (CELG | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating). Both stocks are currently overbought, but CELG trades below its 200-day moving average.
