Stocks closed off their intraday highs on Wednesday after the Federal Reserve announced a widely-expected quarter point rate cut.

The Dow ended down -11.81.  The Nasdaq was also lower, losing -13.30 on the day.  The S&P 500 was off by -5.35.

Here are 7 Stocks You Need to Know for Thursday:

Falling by 12% today, Garmin (GRMN | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) reported its lowest profit in years, blaming increased competition for its popular automobile-navigation systems.

Exxon-Mobil (XOM | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) is scheduled to report earnings on Thursday before the market opens, with analysts expecting EPS of $2.13.

Buffalo Wild Wings (BWLD | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) soared some 19% in trading today after announcing the company would meet its profit growth forecast for the year.

Higher fuel and raw materials costs were blamed by Colgate-Palmolive (CL | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) for the stock's 5% drop on Wednesday.

A smaller than expected loss helped shares of General Motors (GM | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) rally by more than 9% in Wednesday's trading.

Starbucks (SBUX | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) reported second quarter earnings of $0.15 per share on Wednesday after the close of trading.  The company says restructuring costs negatively impacted profits in Q2.
