Stocks sold off again on Wednesday with disappointing revenues from Morgan Stanley providing a negative tone early in the session.

Carnival Cruise Lines ( CCL | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) is scheduled to report earnings Thursday morning before the market opens. Analysts are expecting EPS of $0.42.


Analyst reports from both Citigroup and Deutsche Bank AG suggesting that gasoline prices are making it difficult for American automakers to move their inventories of SUVs and oversized pickup trucks sent shares of General Motors ( GM | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) and Ford ( F | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) lower on Wednesday.


Scheduled to report earnings Thursday before the bell, Circuit City ( CC | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) is expected to announce earnings per share of $-1.05.
