Stocks ended the first trading day of the week mixed with the Dow and S&P 500 up slightly and the Nasdaq Composite down nearly 1%.

The Dow closed up by 3.50. The Nasdaq Composite ended the day down 22.65. And the S&P 500 finished ahead by 1.62.

Lehman Brothers Holdings (LEH | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) fell more than 10% on Monday amid rumors that the investment bank may be taken over at a price below market value.
