Buyers arrived late to push stocks higher late in the trading session. The Dow soared more than 80 points in the last hour to close above 8,000.


The Dow added 109.44. The Nasdaq Composite gained 1.08. And the S&P 500 ended the day up 10.56.


Here are 7 Stocks You Need to Know for Thursday.


Harley-Davidson ( HOG | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) reports quarterly earnings Thursday morning before the market opens. Analysts are expecting EPS of 52 cents.


Also reporting earnings before the bell on Thursday are JP Morgan Chase ( JPM | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating), which is expected to announce earnings per share of 31 cents, and Southwest Airlines ( LUV | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating), which is expected to report per share earnings of three cents.


Procter & Gamble ( PG | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) announced an increase in its quarterly dividend to 44 cents per share, an increase of 10%. The stock was higher on Wednesday after closing lower for four out of the past five trading days.


After a brief one-day pullback, American Express ( AXP | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) soared higher on Wednesday, gaining more than 11% and closing in on its 200-day moving average.


EPS of 4.21 or better is what analysts are hoping to hear from Google ( GOOG | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) when it reports quarterly earnings after the market closes on Thursday.


After the market closes on Thursday, Intuitive Surgical ( ISRG | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) is expected to announced quarterly earnings of 1.05.
