Technology-based exchange-traded funds and those linked to indexes heavy with tech stocks were among those ETFs making the largest moves on Wednesday. And those moves were to the downside. Short and leveraged short funds outperformed, with ETFs reverse indexed to utilities and oil stocks up more than 2% on the day.

Continuing lower were ETFs indexed to stock markets in Asia, particularly in Taiwan and China.

Here are 7 ETFs You Need to Know for Thursday.

The iShares FTSE/Xinhua 25 Index exchange-traded fund, FXI (FXI | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) were down again on Wednesday by more than 3%. The fund, which was extremely overbought one week ago, is now extremely oversold.

Also among the international ETFs moving lower on Wednesday was the iShares S&P Latin America 40 Index ETF, ILF (ILF | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating), which lost more than 2%.

The Semiconductor HOLDRS, SMH (SMH | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating), were down more than 4% on Wednesday and testing year-to-date lows. The ProShares UltraShort Semiconductor exchange-traded fund, SSG (SSG | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating), gained more than 9%.

Down for five consecutive days, the Oil Service HOLDRS, OIH (OIH | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) lost more than 3% today and are extremely oversold with a 2-period RSI of approximately 2. Conversely, the ProShares UltraShort Oil & Gas ETF, DUG (DUG | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating), was up for its fifth day in a row in gaining more than 2% on Wednesday.

Up for five out of the past six days, the Select Financial Sector SPDRS, XLF (XLF | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating), is more overbought than at any point in the past three weeks.
