Solid earnings and strong numbers from the manufacturing and personal income fronts sent stocks sharply higher on the first trading day of the week. Anticipation is running high for Tuesday with numerous big names reporting results. 80% of earnings announced since January 11th have beat estimates. Obama proposed an increased tax on the highest-wage earners and suggests closing business tax loopholes. This is to fund his proposed $3.8 billion budget for 2011. Despite this potentially bearish budget request, bulls had full control of today's session with the DJIA responding by surging 118.20, the Nasdaq advancing 23.85, and the S&P 500 marching higher by 15.31.

Here are 7 stocks you need to know for Tuesday.

The sometimes proxy for the economy delivery firm, United Parcel Service B (UPS), is announcing before the open with a forecast figure of 73 cents.

Appliance maker, Whirlpool Corp (WHR), has analysts awaiting an EPS of $1.30 prior to the bell.

44 cents is the consensus estimate for Pepsi Bottling Group Inc (PBG) before the trading session starts.

Kraft Foods Inc (KFT) reveals before the open with a projected EPS of 45 cents.

Chocolate maker extraordinaire, The Hershey Company (HSY), announces before the bell with a forecast figure of 60 cents.

95 cents is the forecast number for Metlife Inc (MET) after the close on Tuesday.

Tasty Yum! Brands Inc (YUM) announce Tuesday evening after the close with an expected EPS of 48 cents.
